Eljay Torger

Eljay's paintings are collected all over the world. One-person and group shows in San Francisco, St. Thomas, New York and Ft. Lauderdale have featured her watercolors and acrylics and oils on canvas.

Currently her paintings are displayed at Shaw Galleries in Hollywood and Aventura, Florida and the Viewpoint Gallery in New York. At Stanford University, she graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Stanford University, majoring in Philosophy, Art and Drama. At The College of Arts and Crafts in Berkely, she graduated in Paintng and Art History.

Eljay's business careers include publishing five weekly newspapers and executive positions in marketing and sales with American Express, The San Francisco Visitors and Conventions Bureau, The San Francisco Francisco Embarcadero Center Executive Offices, and Grubb and Ellis Real Estate Company. For three years, she hosted and created a weekly TV program called "Entertainment and the Arts" on a CBS affiliate.

Eljay's paintings are part of the Chase Manhatten Bank Collection in New York. The cover of the 1984 Virgin Islands Telephone Book displayed her tropical scene and a mural, 18' x 80', decorates the lobby of the Ramada Yacht Haven Hotel in St. Thomas.

Eljay and her husband Mark reside in Ft. Lauderdale and St. Thomas.
